Dear Anthony,
One month has passed since my career testing conference call
with you. I took time to listen to the taped discussion of the
test results several times, and each time something richly new
came out (and i'm not finished!) All thru the discussion, your
comments and advice are incredibly to the point. In fact, I've
never felt better understood.
In the last four years I have practiced several important
and impactful self development techniques and programs which,
I now realize, all prepared me to fully benefit from the testing
program (in conjunction with Nick Lore's book). Nevertheless
I consider that both his book and the test are truly "magical"
as I did not expect them to have such an impact.
Perhaps more important, this conference call also help me
lift several "roadblocks" that, for many reasons, took
the form of false beliefs that I
have held about myself all my life (until now). The two biggest
roadblocks (but not the only ones) were the realization that
I was temperamentally much more a Feeler than a Thinker, and
that I was a gifted Spatial problem solver.
Working with the tape and continuing to read Lore's Pathfinder
book, I think I FINALLY got hold of my mission. I write FINALLY
in caps because I think I have been looking for something like
that for more than 38 years (I am 38 exactly today). So I wanted
to share with you what is my (new born) 5 year mission statement:
"Developing and implementing tools and representations
based on the latest
practice of psychology and research of neuroscience that help
humans and
organizations find new way to better adapt and contribute meaningfully
(both for
themselves and others) to their (emotional , professional and
/or societal) environment."
The neuroscience part corresponds to the long term aspect
of my vision as the links between psychology practice and brain
science remain to be done. But our taped discussion also revealed
to me how important is for me to invent & develop self development
"tools" that are both practical and empowering. In
fact this corresponds to a deep aspect of my creativity that,
I now realize, I have already used a lot (for instance during
"men initiation training" if you know of these kind
of programs) but that I have never fully "owned" these
professional techniques. I am now entering a phase where I want
to explore how I can best implement my vision as I definitely
want to "leap" to it rather than "slide."
Best Regards and again thank you for the wonderfully important
and meaningful service.
Bruno
