February 2003
Dear Anthony,
Forgive me for being out of touch! I know you'll remember me
because you have a photo to help you. I saw you on Dec 19 as
I was on my way to N. Carolina from Toronto. I'm the INFP with
the research, writing, and design [job functions], and the high
diagnostic/high idea flow talent cluster.
I'm [happily] tired from WORKING EVERY DAY AT MY NEW JOB! so
I'll keep this short.
Things moved very quickly after I returned home. You and I agreed
I should get into the company that does corporate social responsibility
consulting and research. I came back to Toronto and found out
I wasn't hired for the research intern position, but that the
president of the company wanted to talk about other ways for
us to form an association. Briefly, he decided to let me do the
training with the interns in preparation for working on the occasional
project with him. I could also use the training to get another
permanent job.
After I was there a week he said I'm "too bright and clever
to let go" and that he wants very much to find a permanent
place on staff for me. Hooray!
No guarantees, but I know he intends to do what he can to
make it work out. Meantime, I'm slogging away on research and
actually enjoying it. I feel as if I could do it indefinitely.
Anyway, for the time being, it's challenging and interesting
because there's such a steep learning curve. Worst case scenario
is that I don't stay on there, but with what I've learned I can
get a job elsewhere. I'll cross that bridge when and if I have
to. I'm making contacts there that will help with that scenario
if it occurs.
When I have more time I'll write and tell you in very specific
terms what and how I gained from the Rockport Career Testing
Program and follow-up with you. It was a tremendous amount.
Thank you very much for everything. I'm so thankful for having
gone through the program!
Sincerely,
Tamara
