Hello Anthony,
A long time ago I came across your website and we spoke over the phone. The discussion we had gave me enough to put myself on a new path. I started placing myself in situations that I normally wouldn't have taken. This has brought on some new light for me, as it is like I have been living a series of miracles that keep leading me more in the direction of where I'll ultimately end up.
For example, I wanted to learn more about adoption as I thought about my future. I came across a website with an article on adoption. So, with curiosity I called and got a hold of the lawyer who owns the business and we talked about adoption possibilities. She even gave me some options to look into if I wanted an older child outside her agency.
And there's more . . . the next day I called back and asked the lawyer if she had any job openings for Social Workers, and indeed, she had some ideas. We set up a date to meet for a lunch interview. She couldn't get over my out-of-the-box way of thinking and ideas and proposals.
And it gets even better . . . we decided to hold out on the business opportunity she presented to me, and we ended up continuing this long relationship. She challenged me so much that I kept challenging myself, and in result, I kept proving my capabilities to her. I came to realize that I have an intelligence that goes beyond anything I have ever knew existed inside of me. One day she wants us to work together on another project and then continue on expanding when we are both ready.
So, one simple phone call lead to all of this, which clearly is not something one usually does to find a job!
